Maina was admitted and enrolled as an advocate in June 2010 and is entitled to practice as such in the Court of Appeal and the High Court of Lesotho. He obtained an LLB (National University of Lesotho); an LLM (University of the Free State); a Certificate in Property Management and Investment (University of Cape Town); a Certificate in Natural Resources Governance (SADC Lawyers Association); a Certificate in Ethics and Professionalism in the Public Sector (Africa University); Certificate in Public Policy Analysis (Africa University); Certificate in Mediation and Arbitration (International Law Institute, African Centre for Legal Excellence); and Certificate in Introduction to the African Human Rights System (University of Pretoria).
Maina is a seasoned legal consultant with a wealth of diverse legal experience traversing eleven years in dealing with both private and public entities. His extensive practice covers among others labour and employment, immigration services, corporate law and governance, risk management, administration, regulatory aspects and compliance, due diligence investigations and reports, mergers and acquisitions, real estate transaction advise, drafting, negotiating, reviewing and vetting contractual agreements and service contracts. He has extensive experience in drafting legal opinions as well as concluding and drafting various settlement agreements.
Maina served the Lesotho Government in the Ministry of Justice, Human Rights, Correctional Services, Law and Constitutional Affairs as a Legal Officer. He later on joined the Ministry of Public Service as Senior Legal Consultant, regulatory and compliance specialist, research consultant, trainer and lecturer at the Lesotho Institute of Public Administration and Management. He was appointed Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations and Ministry of Mining respectively.
Maina is currently the Managing Director at Legal Solutions, a commercial and corporate legal consulting and advisory firm that provides bespoke and personalized legal, advisory and immigration consulting services through the firm’s core areas of expertise that include commercial and corporate law, labour and employment law, banking and finance law, insurance law, property law, tax law, contract law, immigration law, property law and mining law. The firm’s client base includes small, medium and large new and existing business.
Mpho Motsamai is an International Law Lawyer, Transitional Justice Practitioner and a practising Advocate of the Courts of Lesotho. She holds a Bachelor of Laws Honours Degree from the National University of Lesotho and a Master of Advanced Studies in Transitional Justice, Human Rights and the Rule of Law from the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights (2023).
She holds a certificate from UNITAR on Peaceful Conflict in Africa. She has previously worked as a Chief Legal Officer at the National Reforms Authority, a body which was mandated to amend the Constitution of Lesotho so as to bring stability to a country which has always been challenged by instability due to election results. Due to her experience in practice, she can interpret and advise on any law. She has been involved in extensive negotiation skills, whereby she has shown an excellent skill of being a mediator.
She is a founder of Women’s Law Clinic, a non-governmental organization operating in Lesotho focusing on human rights and transitional justice issues affecting women and the broader society at large.
She is involved in human rights advocacy in which she holds public gatherings whereby she educates women, girls, youth, and area chiefs about all laws. She also holds training sessions for Health Practitioners, Police and Prosecutors on management of evidence in gender-based violence-related cases. She has an initiative of collecting and donating Sanitary Pads for underprivileged girls so as to keep them in school throughout the year. She has also begun embarking on a campaign of decriminalizing sex work in Lesotho and advocates for the LGBTIQ community. Mpho wants a Lesotho whereby women are conversant with all laws.
Tefo is a seasoned legal professional with extensive expensive gained from managerial roles within the government of Lesotho civil service, as well as postgraduate studies in law and business insights. He specialises in commercial, labour, and investment law, with a particular focus on drafting agreements and legal opinions.
Tefo has a Bachelor of Law degree from the National University of Lesotho, as well as two Master of Law degrees, specializing in Labour Law and International Economic Law, respectfully from the University of the Free State. He is currently pursuing his PhD in Business/Mercantile Law, with a primary focus on trade, investment, and finance law, as well as corporate governance.
Furthermore, as a seasoned Compliance and Risk Specialist with a strong foundation in ensuring regulatory adherence and mitigating organisational risks. With a licensed Compliance Management Certificate from the University of Cape Town (UCT) and extensive experience in the insurance and medical aid sectors, he brings a comprehensive understanding of industry-specific compliance frameworks and a proven track record of implementing effective risk management strategies.
Advocate Tsilo is a highly skilled corporate attorney who obtained his LL.B degree from the National University of Lesotho. He has extensive experience in a variety of corporate, private equity, venture capital, and securities practices. Tsilo specializes in representing public and private entities, fund sponsors, families, and asset management firms in all aspects of corporate governance and finance.
This includes structuring and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, equity financings, joint ventures, private placements, and public transactions. His skillset was developed through years of consistent training across Europe, Americas, Asia and Africa. In addition, he has completed short-courses on Project Management, Public Management and Administration, and Compliance Management from UNISA, Syracuse University-New York, and the University of Rwanda respectively.
Funiwe has worked in and advised clients regularly in areas of trade law, taxation, corporate law, contract law and represented clients and actively involved in providing comments and legal opinions on day to day issues raised by the clients under various laws. She has previously worked as a general legal practitioner at Legal Aid Lesotho and Import and Export officer at the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Cooperatives and Marketing, Lesotho.
A well-rounded business and management consultant with research and analysis capabilities – harnessed in over half a decade of practical experience in the business development space. He has key competencies in the areas of microenterprise fnance, quantitative analysis, management, business development, business documentation production, and strategy.
Mr Lehasa carries-out a variety of business development and related consulting activities. He previously worked as high school teacher and university lecturer in that order. He is a holder of MCom Development Finance from the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business; MBA – General Management from the University of the Free State Business School and BSc Education – Mathematics and Physics from the National University of Lesotho.
Mrs Khosola Mosoloane is a qualified Chartered Accountant with combined professional experience of eight years in financial accounting, taxation and management accounting with proven success in assisting clients to achieve and maintain compliance with the accounting legal frameworks and regulatory requirements.
She served as Financial Accounting and Accounting Aspects lecturer at LIPAM from August 2015 to June 2017 and Financial Reporting and Organizational Management lecturer at Centre for Accounting Studies (CAS) from July 2017 to June 2019. From July 2019 to April 2022 she worked a Finance Officer at Ministry of Health. She was transferred to Ministry of Development Planning in May 2022 and has continued working as a Finance Officer to date.
Adv. Liphapang Caswell Monesa. He is a Master of Laws candidate in Mineral, Petroleum Extraction and Use in the University of Cape Town (2024). He holds a certificate in Prospecting and Mining Law from the University of Witwatersrand and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the National University of Lesotho.
He is an Advocate of the High Court of Lesotho and the Supreme Court of the Republic of South Africa. He has a 14 year legal practice and vast experience as Director in major companies
A seasoned management consultant with extensive expertise and experience in monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning (MEAL); project and program management, research, data management, business development and strategy development (corporate and business) with more than 10 years of work experience.
Thus far, Fulu has been involved in more than 14 program evaluations/research studies across wide range of sectors which include but not limited to: natural resource management, migration, taxation, microfinance and education. He holds Master of Business Administration from the University of British Columbia, a Certificate in Project Management Professional from Project Management Institute, Certificate in Project Administration from University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics from National University of Lesotho.
Kelello Pule is an environmental lawyer with focus on environmental impact assessments, regulatory instruments, governance, implementation and environmental management. Kelello has an LLB degree from the University of Lesotho and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Law from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
Kelello also has extensive experience in Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management. She has served as a Court Annexed Mediator in the High court of Lesotho. She also served as a legal researcher in the High Court and Court of Appeal of Lesotho where she conducted critical legal research and legal drafting.
She studied General Accounting at Center for Accounting Studies and is currently studying towards completion of a Masters degree in Accounting with International Atlantic University. Nthatisi has also obtained certificates in Forensic Accounting and Fraud Examination ( West Virginia University) and Procurement and Logistics (DisasterReady).
Nthatisi has passion of helping others and she has mostly worked with NGOs like MCA, Habitat for Humanity Lesotho, Kick4Life, EGPAF and LENASO.
As an auditor, she has audited many companies in different industries like hospitals, schools, textiles, retails, constructions, NGOs, petroleum and many more. Her major achievements include, advocating for tax compliance and accurate accounting treatment to many Basotho small and medium sized companies
